What is the NRC function on the Anytone AT-5100?
The NRC (Noise Reduction Circuit) is a digital signal processing (DSP) system that significantly reduces background noise, hissing and static interference during reception, whilst also attenuating ambient noise from the vehicle’s interior during your transmissions.
Does the Anytone AT-5100 require a licence to transmit?
To use this radio on amateur radio bands (particularly 28 MHz / 10m), you must hold an amateur radio licence (HAREC operator’s certificate or equivalent). Listening remains completely unrestricted.
Can this radio be used as a fixed station at home?
Yes, simply connect it to a stabilised 13.8V DC power supply delivering at least 10 to 12 amps and to an HF antenna tuned to the frequency band in use.
What frequency steps are available for VHF tuning?
The Anytone AT-5100 allows for very fine tuning thanks to configurable steps of 10 Hz and 100 Hz, facilitating perfect tuning and a natural voice tone in USB and LSB.
