Specifications of the RTL-SDR v3 dongle:

Supplied with: 1 RTL-SDR V3 dongle (without antenna or CD), with optional antenna kit.

Choosing an antenna for SDR reception
To get the most out of this RTL-SDR.com dongle in scanner mode, you need to match the antenna to the frequencies you wish to listen to (VHF/UHF) and position it outdoors – at the very least on a window sill, but ideally as high up and unobstructed as possible, mounted on a mast or on the roof of a house or car.

RTL-SDR V3 Setup and Guide
The RTL-SDR V3 USB dongle is installed and used in the same way as all RTL2832 dongles: by installing the drivers using the Zadig software, then installing the SDR software of your choice.
The V3 version offers three additional features: HF Direct Sampling Mode, Bias-T and software-adjustable clock; see the guide above, available for download (in English).
