Installation and operation of the loop

Remove all items from the carry bag. Three black tubes form the backbone of the AlexLoop HamPack.

Insert the tube between the others, so that the small loop is at the top and the tuning box is at the bottom.

The loop and the tuning box must be aligned on the same side of the spine.

The large loop coaxial cable is held firmly in the carry bag by a Velcro strap.

Remove the Velcro and press down on the elliptical ends to return the coax loop to a circular shape, before carefully unwinding it.

The large loop coaxial cable is on the same side of the spine as the large loop coaxial cable.

The large loop coaxial cable is on the same side of the spine as the small loop and the tuning box, with a metal ring holding the large loop in place.

Tilt the coaxial cable inside the metal ring to orient it towards the flattened part of the coaxial cable.

A little pressure from your thumb is needed to engage the coax inside the metal ring on the round tube.

On YouTube "How to correctly engage the AlexLoop coaxial loop" :

Attach the connectors of the large RF loop to the tuner box, making sure that they are aligned to avoid crossovers.

It is important that the PL259 plugs are screwed firmly into the tuner connectors.

The large loop should be positioned to represent a circle, gently reshaping it if necessary.

Unwind the thinner coaxial cable and connect the BNC plug to your transceiver.
