FAQ

What is the actual range of this tracker?

In open terrain, the range can reach up to 7 km on the 868 MHz frequency. In urban or congested areas, this range will depend on obstacles and the density of the local mesh network.

How do I charge the device?

The ThinkNode-M3 uses a secure magnetic charging system via the included USB cable. This maintains the IP66 waterproof rating by eliminating the need for traditional micro-USB or USB-C ports.

Can it be used without a smartphone?

Yes, once configured, it operates autonomously as a tracker. However, the Meshtastic app is required for initial setup and to view the locations of other network members.

Is it possible to update the firmware?

Absolutely. By connecting the magnetic cable to a PC and holding down the button, the device appears as a USB drive (ELECROW_BOOT) for easy drag-and-drop updates.

Does the tracker come with a battery?

Yes, it has a built-in 770mAh lithium battery that provides approximately 12 to 18 hours of battery life in active tracking mode (sending updates every minute).

Why choose the ThinkNode-M3 Meshtastic Tracker?

  • All-in-One Design: No need for external antennas or additional boxes—everything is built-in for immediate use.
  • Superior GNSS Accuracy: The use of multiple satellite constellations ensures a fast and accurate fix even in challenging conditions.
  • Optimized Power Consumption: Thanks to its 25µA low-power mode, it conserves battery life during periods of inactivity.
  • Elecrow Reliability: Hardware designed by IoT experts, ensuring industrial-grade manufacturing quality and ongoing technical support.
