The Diamond SP3000 lightning arrester operates at frequencies from 0 to 3000 MHz and has a maximum transmit power of 200W, is equipped with an N-plug connector and offers a low insertion loss of -0.2 dB.

This equipment offers protection of the radio equipment in case of lightning strike in the vicinity, but not in case of direct lightning strike on the antenna, in which case a lightning conductor must be installed above the antenna level.

The SP3000 must be earthed, by the shortest route, for safe operation. A stainless steel screw (M4) is available to connect a cable to earth.

It is recommended that a lightning arrestor be placed at both the antenna and the coaxial cable entry to the building.

The SP3000 is not waterproof and must be protected for outdoor use.
