COMET calls this material a duplexer, it is actually a combiner or a splitter, depending of your use.
It is a combination of a bandpass filter, simultaneously passing the radio signal in both directions via the common connector, and a bandpass filter to completely isolate the other 2 connectors.
A combiner/splitter allows:
- To use simultaneously in transmission and reception, 2 radio devices on the same antenna,
- To use a dual-band radio with 2 separate outputs, on a single dual-band antenna,
- To use a duplex radio on several antennas,
- To use a single coaxial cable descent to supply 2 different antennas at the top of the mast, on 2 different radio stations at the station, with a single coaxial cable instead of 2.
