Digirig 9600 baud cable with audio + PTT + serial (CAT), for Yaesu FTM series mobile transceivers using a proprietary 10-pin MiniDin connector.

  • The cable supports digital modes and packet radio protocols such as VaraFM, VarAC, SSTV, APRS, Winlink, Echolink, Allstar etc.
  • Data cable combines audio and PTT control, plugs into Digirig audio socket (black jack) - works with all Digirig models
  • The 9600 baud version of the audio cable also enables the transceiver's serial functions to be activated (green jack) - this requires the Digirig Mobile to be in RS-232 configuration.
  • Length 60cm extended, 183cm fully extended
  • Shielded and RF isolated with ferrites at both ends to prevent RFI

Choice of cable variant

  • If you plan to use a digital mode requiring a wide FM band, such as VaraFM or M17, you will need the 9600 baud variant of this cable. The same cable also supports all standard modes (1200 baud audio). The audio/PTT functionality works with any model of Digirig interface.
  • If you plan to use the radio's serial connectivity, such as memory programming, GPS signal output, internal TNC output, serial CAT control, you will need the 9600 baud version. Refer to your transceiver manual for information on supported serial functions. Using a serial connection requires the Digirig Mobile to be configured for RS-232.
  • If none of the above conditions apply, you can use the 1200 baud cable version with PTT which works with any Digirig interface.
