Choice of cable variant
- If you plan to use a digital mode requiring a wide FM band, such as VaraFM or M17, you will need the 9600 baud variant of this cable. The same cable also supports all standard modes (1200 baud audio). The audio/PTT functionality works with any model of Digirig interface.
- If you plan to use the radio's serial connectivity, such as memory programming, GPS signal output, internal TNC output, serial CAT control, you will need the cable variant with serial lines (9600 baud). Refer to your transceiver manual for information on supported serial functions. Using a serial connection requires the Digirig Mobile to be configured for RS-232.
- If none of the above apply, you can use this cheaper 1200 baud/PTT cable which works with any Digirig interface.
