FAQ
Can I use it with a Baofeng walkie-talkie?
Most Baofengs use an SMA-Female connector on the device (therefore SMA-Male on the antenna), this antenna is therefore directly compatible with models like the UV-5R or UV-82.
Can the antenna stay on the roof at high speed?
Although the 5 cm magnet is powerful, it is recommended for urban or road use. For prolonged highway use, a base of larger diameter is preferable.
Can the cable be changed?
The cable is crimped directly into the magnetic base to ensure watertightness and robustness, it is not designed to be easily replaced.
Is it suitable for reception only (Scanner)?
Yes, it offers excellent reception performance on the VHF and UHF bands for listening to amateur radio, maritime or professional traffic.
Do I need to adjust the SWR (ROS)?
The antenna is pre-set at the factory for amateur radio bands (144/430MHz). A check is always advised, but it is generally ready to use.
