Data sheet

The A99 is equipped with the Solarcon Twin Ring Adjust-A-Match system which allows the antenna input to be tuned to achieve an optimum signal to noise ratio over a range of frequencies.

Raising the rings increases the frequency and lowering the rings decreases the frequency.

  • Antenna type: CB Base 27 MHz antenna + 10 to 17m band with a tuner
  • 1/2 wave omnidirectional
  • Glass fibre whip
  • Total length 550 cm
  • Maximum power 2000W
  • Connector: UHF-Female
  • Operates on the 10 to 17 meter bands with Turner
  • The A99 is a half-wave tuned antenna
  • Comes in three sections, easy to assemble.
  • Gain: 0 dB - 2.15 dBi
  • Each antenna is individually tested
  • Lightning protection, DC grounded. No lightning arrestor or static discharge unit required
  • Total height when assembled 550cm (5.5m)

Notes :

  1. Connector at the bottom section: When measuring with a multimeter on the UHF-Female connector between the conductor and the ground, a short circuit will be measured, this is quite normal. The reason is the special design of the A99.
  2. Middle section: When measuring with a multimeter between the top and the bottom of the middle section, continuity is found.
  3. There is a capacitor in the middle section because it is a 5/8 wave antenna, but there is no capacitor in the middle section of the A99 because it is a 1/2 wave antenna
  4. There may be a small difference in colour between the lower and middle/upper section. The reason for this is a difference in the production of these sections

Type Antron 99
