Important notes on configuring the radio

1 - The radio must have "level detection" activated or the PTT will not work. This function must be activated in the radio's programming software or in the radio's menu system. In the programming software, go to Optional Setting, the Other tab, and change HandOpMode to "Level Detect". On the radio's front panel, go to Menu, Settings, Radio Set, Other Func, Hand Type, and select "Volt-Det".

2 - The microphone socket on this radio uses differential audio which CANNOT be used with the SignaLink or the radio's audio amplifier will be damaged. Instead, you will need to attach the audio cable supplied between the SignaLink's SPKR socket and one of the radio's external speaker sockets (one socket disconnects the radio's built-in speaker, the other does not - see your radio's manual for details).
