FAQ

Why choose an nRF52840 board over an ESP32 model?

The nRF52840 microcontroller consumes significantly less power in standby and during normal operation than the ESP32 architecture. This enables the creation of self-powered solar nodes operating continuously with a solar panel and a very small-capacity battery, or pocket-sized nodes that can run for several days on a single charge.

How do you power the module when using it on the go?

The module has dedicated connection pins for directly connecting a 3.7V LiPo/Li-Ion battery. The on-board power management circuit manages charging when the USB-C port is connected to a power source.
