The mAT-600A from mAT-TUNER is the ideal solution for amateur radio operators looking for a robust and powerful automatic tuning unit, capable of handling intermediate power levels up to 600W SSB. Unlike tuners dedicated to a specific brand, the mAT-600A is universal: it does not require a specific data control cable. It simply connects to the coaxial line and detects RF to tune.
Its installation is simple: connect your transmitter (or the output of your linear amplifier) to the RF-IN input, and your antenna to the ANTENNA output. Power it with 12V, and it's ready to use. To start a tuning cycle, simply send a low-power carrier (5-15W) and press the TUNE button on the front panel.

FAQ
How to start tuning with the mAT-600A?
Reduce your transmitter's power to between 5 and 15 Watts, switch to FM or CW mode (continuous carrier), then press the TUNE button on the tuner's front panel. Once tuning is found (Tuning LED off), you can increase your power up to 600W SSB.
Is this tuner compatible with my linear amplifier?
Yes, the mAT-600A is designed to be placed after a linear amplifier, as long as the power does not exceed 600W SSB. Always ensure to tune with the amplifier in Standby (Bypass) mode or at low power before activating amplification.
What is the 'WARN' LED for?
The WARN LED lights up only during the tuning cycle if the injected RF power is too low or too high to allow correct tuning. Adjust your power between 5 and 15W if it lights up.
Does the mAT-600A require a radio interface control cable?
No, it's a universal tuner. It does not use Icom, Yaesu, or Kenwood control cables. It operates autonomously by detecting RF and via manual action on the TUNE button.
Can this tuner be used outdoors?
No, the mAT-600A is designed for fixed indoor station use (shack). It is not waterproof.
