Can it be used permanently outdoors?

It is primarily designed for portable use. Although it is robust, a permanent fixed installation would require additional protection against water infiltration at the connectors.

Is it compatible with digital modes like FT8?

Yes, its thermal management and power capacity allow the use of digital modes, although it is advised to reduce the power by about half, i.e., 200W max. in FT8 with this antenna.

How is the band change made?

The band change is made by adjusting the length of the telescopic elements or using loading coils depending on the specific model configuration.

Can I install it on a balcony?

Yes, its dipole or inverted V configuration allows installation in confined spaces, provided it is sufficiently distanced from metal structures and counterweights are planned, especially for the lower bands.
