rating No review at the moment

The mAT-4117 is a universal voltage injector (Bias-Tee) designed to combine a DC power supply and an RF signal on a single coaxial cable. It allows remote powering of antenna tuners or other RF equipment without requiring a separate power cable, thus significantly simplifying the installation of your remote antennas.

  • Frequency Range: 1.8 MHz to 54 MHz
  • High RF Isolation: > 65 dB (double filter)
  • DC Voltage: 1V to 50V supported
  • Max Current: Up to 1 Ampere
  • Connectors: BNC (RF and RF+DC)
  • Compatibility: Universal (all brands with integrated Bias-Tee)

Comes with: 1 mAT-4117 injector, 1 DC power cable.

Data sheet

The mAT-TUNER mAT-4117 is an essential accessory for amateur radio installations requiring remote power via the coaxial cable. This high-quality Bias-Tee allows injecting a direct current (DC) voltage into the coaxial line to power remote equipment such as automatic antenna tuners, preamplifiers, or antenna switches, while allowing the RF signal to pass with minimal loss.

Thanks to its robust design using a two-stage filter, it offers exceptional RF isolation greater than 65 dB, ensuring that no RF feedback disturbs your power supply or your station. It is compatible not only with mAT-TUNER tuners (like the mAT-40) but also with any equipment from other brands (Icom, Yaesu, Kenwood, LDG) designed to be powered via coaxial cable.

Installation and Precautions

Installation is simple: connect your transmitter to the 'RF' port and the coaxial cable going to the antenna (or remote tuner) to the 'RF+DC' port. Then connect your power source to the DC jack.

Warning: The 'RF+DC' port carries current. Never connect this port to a DC short-circuited antenna (like some Yagi antennas or dipoles with short-circuited baluns) or to an unprotected measuring device (SWR meter), as this may damage the injection circuit.

FAQ

Is the mAT-4117 only compatible with mAT-TUNER tuners?

No, it is universal. It works with any remote antenna tuner (Icom AH-4, AH-730, Yaesu FC-40, etc.) or RF equipment designed to receive its power via the coaxial cable (Bias-Tee).

What is the maximum supported RF power?

The manufacturer has tested the isolation with powers up to 1000W on certain frequencies to validate the filtering, but for continuous use, it is recommended to use it with standard powers of 100W to 200W, typical of compatible remote tuners.

Can I use it to power a reception preamplifier?

Yes, absolutely. As long as the preamplifier accepts power via the coaxial cable and its consumption does not exceed 1A and 50V, the mAT-4117 is perfectly suitable.

What connectors are used?

The device uses BNC connectors for RF inputs/outputs. If your cables are PL-259 (UHF), you will need BNC to SO-239 adapters.

Does the device protect against HF feedback?

Yes, the mAT-4117 has a dual-stage filter offering RF isolation greater than 65 dB, which effectively prevents HF from feeding back to your DC power supply.
