Use a Raspberry PI as a radio transmitter with Rpitx

Thanks to the Rpitx software from F5OEO software, it is possible to use a Raspberry PI to transmit radio signals from 5khz to 500MHz (AM/FM/SSB/FSQ/SSTV), using the GPIO 18 extension (pin 12) to connect a wire that will act as an antenna. The length of the wire will depend on the frequency used for transmission.

Note, however, that the signal generated is not clean and generates numerous harmonics which could be harmful if amplified without filtering.

With the addition of an RTL-SDR stick for reception, it is now possible, for experimental purposes, to create a transceiver using the qtcsdr software from HA7ILM.

As with all radio transmission equipment, use is subject to compliance by the user with the laws in force in the country of use.
