HackRF Pro from Great Scott Gadgets is an open source RF SDR development board with FPGA, capable of transmitting or receiving radio signals from 100 kHz to 6 GHz, without holes.

Designed to enable testing, research and development (R&D) of modern and next-generation RF technologies, it can be used as a USB device or programmed for standalone operation.

Compared to HackRF One HackRF Pro introduces many new features and updates, including :

How is RF port protection enhanced on HackRF Pro?
HackRF Pro has the same reverse current protection diode on the RF port bias tee that is present on newer revisions of HackRF One. This has been quite effective in improving amplifier robustness in HackRF One r9 and r10. In addition to over-voltage protection provided by the diode, the bias tee on HackRF Pro features over-current protection. HackRF Pro has new amplifiers, replacing the obsolete part on HackRF One. ESD protection has been enhanced on HackRF Pro, and the RF port is also protected from high RF power by a PIN-Schottky limiter.

HackRF Pro is open source hardware and is compatible with existing plug-ins, including Opera Cake from Great Scott Gadgets, most PortaPacks and some third-party boxes.

SDR software that works with HackRF One is already compatible with HackRF Pro. A migration guide will allow software radio developers to integrate some of the new capabilities of HackRF Pro, which behaves like HackRF One, with superior performance.

You are legally responsible for the use of your HackRF PRO, and the easiest way is to become a radio amateur ;-)
