Opera Cake is an additional antenna switch card for the HackRF One SDR development board.
This antenna switch can be configured with command line software for automatic port switching based on frequency or time or switched manually.
The card has 2 female SMA primary ports, each connected to one of 8 female SMA secondary ports, and is optimized for use as a pair of 1x4 switches or as a single 1x8 switch. Its recommended frequency range is 1 MHz to 4 GHz.
When the HackRF One is used to transmit, Opera Cake can automatically route its output to the appropriate transmit antennas, as well as to any external filters, amplifiers, etc. There is no need to modify the existing SDR software, but full control from the host is available.
Opera Cake also enhances the use of HackRF One as a spectrum analyzer. Antenna switching works with the existing hackrf_sweep function, which can scan the entire tuning range in less than a second. Automatic switching in the middle of the scan allows the use of multiple antennas when scanning a wide frequency range.
