The mAT-10 is a compact tuner designed for use with the YAESU FT-817 and FT-818 transceivers and can also be used with other QRP transceivers.

It can tune dipoles, verticals, Yagis, or virtually any coax-fed antenna. It adapts to an amazing range of antennas and impedances, including the built-in tuners on many radios.

The mAT-10's mAT-CY control cable is used to connect the YAESU FT-817/818 transceiver. It can also be used by the mAT-30 to connect other YAESU transmitters.

The charger can also be used in the mAT-125E tuner. Please do not use other chargers for charging, as this could endanger the tuners.

When connected to the FT-817/818 via a dedicated mAT-CY control cable, it is a dedicated tuner, which can perform convenient "one-key tuning". If no control cable is used, it becomes a universal QRP tuner for all low-power transceivers.

The mAT-10 is connected to the ACC port of the FT-817/818 transceiver via a control cable. The ACC interface allows an external device such as a PC or the mAT-10 to control the FT-817/818 by sending it serial commands. The mAT-10 has a "one key tuning" function. When the multi-function tuner key is pressed, the mAT-10 will automatically control the start of the transceiver tuning.

When the mAT-10 is used with other QRP transceivers, it does not require control cables and can operate by connecting RF cables only. The tuning process can be completed by pressing the Multi-Function button on the panel, which is very simple to operate.

The three LEDs in the top half of the tuner are used to display battery power or current SWR. In the off state, after pressing the multifunction button, the three lights indicate the battery power level inside the tuner. On start-up, these three lights are used to indicate the current SWR.

The mAT-10 has a single button, which can perform multiple functions. Whether for the FT-817/818 or other transceivers. This button has the function of switching power, starting tuning, switching online/bypass status, etc. The bottom half of the tuner has three LEDs, which are used to indicate "online/bypass", "tuning process" and "power".

The mAT10 has 16,000 frequency memories. If no memorised settings are available, the tuner performs a complete tuning cycle, storing the settings for recall into memory on subsequent tuning cycles to that frequency. In this way, the mAT-10 'learns' as you use it, adapting to bands and frequencies as you go. You can also initiate a tuning cycle manually when required.

Two 10440 mAh lithium batteries are fitted inside the mAT10, providing power to the tuner. Thanks to the use of advanced magnetic retention relays, the power consumption of the mAT-10 is very low, and the lithium battery can operate for a long time after being fully charged. It is ideal for outdoor use. Special chargers are supplied with tuners. You must use your own charger to charge the tuner. It is dangerous to charge it with an incorrect charger.

Before using the tuner for the first time, it must be charged to activate the internal battery protection circuit. During transport, the tuner is in a protected state and cannot be switched on unless you charge it. You must do the same after changing the battery.

Important note: When using in FT8/FT4 digital mode, or in AM or RTTY carrier mode, the maximum power must be reduced by at least half (10-15W max recommended), and when tuning the transmitter power must be at a minimum (5W), otherwise the tuner will burn out and the warranty will not cover excessive power.
