The mAT-180H is an automatic antenna tuner operating in the 1.8MHz to 54MHz range, at power levels up to 120 watts.

It can be used to tune dipoles, verticals, Yagis, or virtually any coax-fed antenna.

It is designed for modern ICOM and KENWOOD HF transceivers depending on the control cable added: the mAT-CI for ICOM (supplied) and mAT-CK for KENWOOD (not supplied).

Compatible ICOM devices: IC-706, 703, 718, 7000, 7100, 7200, 7300, 7410, 746, 756, 7600, AH-3 and AH-4

Compatible KENWOOD devices: TRC-80, TK-80, TS-2000, 50, 450, 480SAT (except HX version), 570, 590, 850, 870, 990 and any device supporting KENWOOD AT-300 tuners. KENWOOD TS-430, TS-440 are too old to use this tuner.

Supplied with: 1 mAT-180H tuner and a mAT-CI control cable for Icom.

  • 16,000 memories for instant frequency and band changes.
  • Tuning times: 0.1 to 5 seconds full tuning, 0.1 seconds memory tuning.
  • Coverage from 1.6 to 54.0 MHz. Integrated frequency sensor.
  • Adjusts loads from 5 to 1500 ohms.
  • For dipoles, verticals, whips, wires or any other coaxial-fed antenna.
  • Weight: 0.8Kg.

The mAT-180H has 16,000 frequency memories. When tuning to or near a previously tuned frequency, the mAT-180H uses "Memory Tune" to recall the previous tuning settings in a fraction of a second.

If no stored settings are available, the tuner performs a full tuning cycle, storing the settings for memory recall on subsequent tuning cycles to that frequency. In this way, the mAT-180H 'learns' as it goes along, adapting to bands and frequencies. You can also start a tuning cycle manually if required.

To facilitate the use of wire antennas, in addition to having two standard SO-239 RF sockets, the rear panel of the mAT-180H has two terminals, one red and one black. The red terminal connects the wire antenna, the black terminal connects the earth wire.

The mAT-180H connects to the transceiver via its tuner socket to control the tuning cycle, the tune button on the transceiver controls the tuner. The tuner socket also powers the tuner, so it requires no external power supply.

Important note: When using in FT8/FT4 digital mode, or in AM, RTTY, PSK carrier mode, the maximum power must be reduced by at least half (30-40W max recommended), and when tuning the transmitter power must be at a minimum (5-10W), otherwise the tuner will burn out and this will not be taken into account in the warranty in the event of excessive power.

ça marche !
pas le nec plus ultra il faut souvent affiné les réglages manuellement mais il fonctionne plutôt pas mal avec ma filaire de 42m, par contre pour le 3.5 non il donne trop atténuation ! Attention ne supportera pas longtemps les émissions numériques à pleine puissance.

Parfait avec IC-7300
Utilisant une antenne Cobweb avec une bande passante réduite et fluctuant avec l\'humidité, cette boîte d\'excellente qualité est juste parfaite. Quel que soit le mode, un coup d\'alternat (voir configuration de l\'IC-7300) et le système d\'aérien est accordé.

A part qu\'il faille ne pas bancher à la fois un coax et un twin lead, cet appareil accorde fort bien un dipôle de 2x12.5 mètres par le twin-lead 450 ohms (HF mais pas 80m) pour mon IC-7100.

très bon produit, je l\'utilise avec un icom 7200 pas de problème d accord, il va très très vite et facile d \' utilisation .. je recommande le produit

mon avis sur le mAT-180H

utilisé avec un IC-7300, accorde parfaitement mes antennes, à savoir un "long" fil d'environ 18m, une antenne CB raccourcie pour le 29 MHz et une verticale Comet CHA-250BWII
le bouton TUNE sur le mAT-180H n'a pas d'effet sur l'IC-7300, il faut appuyer sur "TUNER" de l'Icom
l'accord prends au maximum 2 secondes... et presque instantané si l'on a déjà mémorisé la fréquence ("SAVE")
