No review at the momentThe Heltec MeshTower V2 is an outdoor, IP66-rated, waterproof LoRa node in a robust all-in-one housing, designed for decentralised mesh networks and off-grid applications such as Meshtastic or Meschore. Powered by an integrated 10W solar panel and a high-capacity lithium battery, it offers up to +28 dBm of transmit power*.
Supplied with: 1x Heltec MeshTower V2, 1x 5.5 dBi fibreglass antenna with N-type connector, 1x 2.4 GHz whip antenna, 1x GPS antenna, 1x 10W solar panel with waterproof connector, 1x USB-C to USB-C cable, 1x wall/pole mounting plate, 1x GPS sensor.
The Heltec MeshTower V2 is a standalone, ruggedised outdoor LoRa relay station, designed to deploy resilient infrastructure without relying on the mains electricity supply and in challenging conditions.
It enables the range of mesh radio networks to be extended into the most remote areas.
⚠️ * 868 MHz regulations in France and Europe
This version of the MeshTower can deliver up to +28 dBm. This figure represents the maximum capability of the equipment and does not constitute the authorised power for its use in France.
In the 869.4 to 869.65 MHz band, used in particular by Meshtastic and MeshCore, the maximum authorised power is 500 mW EIRP (Equivalent Isotropic Radiated Power), i.e. +27 dBm EIRP, at the antenna.
Be aware of the antenna gain: the 500 mW limit relates to the power actually radiated by the installation. Antenna gain, as well as losses in the cable, filters and adaptors used, must be taken into account, and the transmission power adjusted accordingly.
It is the user’s responsibility to configure Meshtastic or MeshCore in accordance with the regulations applicable in their country and in line with their installation.
By default, the MeshTower’s internal switch is in the off position. After flipping the switch to ON, the battery may need to be activated electrically. You can activate it by connecting an external 20V USB-PD power supply to the USB-C port or by connecting the solar panel to a light source (18–24V).
Yes, the unit accepts a DC power supply of between 18V and 24V or a charger compatible with the Power Delivery (PD3.0 20V) protocol via the USB-C interface.
With its 5.5 dBi fibreglass collinear antenna, the Heltec MeshTower can cover around ten kilometres in line of sight (LoS) to other Meshtastic or Meshcore nodes or repeaters, depending on the network used.
Yes, the battery and electronics have been selected to operate over a wide temperature range from -20°C to +60°C, whilst the aluminium chassis ensures effective heat dissipation and IP66-rated protection against rain, snow and dust.
