In deep sleep mode, it consumes just 11 to 23 µA, compared to several milliamps for an ESP32 without extensive optimisation, making it the perfect component for autonomous Meshtastic relays powered by a battery and solar panel.

What type of solar panel can be connected to the T114 Mesh Node?

The module accepts a solar input voltage between 5V and 6.5V. It is strongly recommended to use a small, standard 5V solar panel fitted with a 2-pin SH1.25 connector.

Can the built-in 2.4 GHz Bluetooth antenna be replaced?

No, the Bluetooth antenna is a multilayer ceramic antenna soldered directly onto the board’s printed circuit. However, the LoRa antenna uses a standard, detachable IPEX 1.0 connector.

What is the maximum size of battery compatible with the official Heltec enclosure?

The official case can accommodate a 3.7V lithium battery with maximum dimensions of 42 x 28 x 11 mm (standard 40 x 25 x 10 mm models fit perfectly).

How do I flash the Meshtastic firmware onto this board?
