Upconverter Localino 2.4 GHz 5W QO-100 input 28/50/144/432 MHz VOX TCXO

The new Upconverter-H from Localino and for QO-100 makes it quick and easy to get up and running on the QO100 satellite using an SSB transceiver in 28/50/144 or 432 MHz, with a maximum power of 5W on the 13cm band at 2.4 GHz.

It is possible to have up to 10W at 13cm with a +17dBm low-power input and a 28V VCC power supply.

With integrated TCXO, input power from 10mW to 5W maximum, input IF adjustable by jumper, VOX PTT, no PTT switching required. It draws power from 10 to 24V and a typical voltage of 13.8V to 20V.

Can also be used as a stand-alone 13cm 2.4GHz amplifier, with SDR hardware such as the ADALM PLUTO. A solder joint is then required on the PCB.

Supplied with : Upconverter-H 2.4GHz Localino, delivered assembled and tested.

With a 13.8V supply, the output power will be (depending on the input band) :

With a 60-80cm dish, and if the upconverter is mounted close to the dish with as little cable length as possible, a power of around 2W will be sufficient for QO-100.

In the case of a long coaxial cable length between the up-converter and the antenna, more power may be required to compensate for the loss in the cable.

Reminder: This equipment requires an amateur radio licence to be used. There will be no return or refund for upconverting with a burnt-out PA.

* The warranty does not cover the PA and the loss of power, which may result from an assembly error, incorrect antenna adjustment (VSWR), maximum input power not respected, a short-circuit in the power supply or a problem with the coaxial line.
