No review at the momentThe VeGA Barebones is a 30MHz to 4000MHz broadband linear LNA module designed to allow the user to control the level of amplification to achieve the best signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The device can be used for Software Defined Radio (SDR) applications.
Attenuation can be controlled either by the built-in potentiometer (analogue control) or by the push-button panel (digital control).

VeGA is a very high performance LNA module designed for general SDR applications with two options for adjusting the device gain.
Each module allows 3 different power supply options, but you should only use one power supply option at a time!
The recommended power supply via the SMA output port (for bias-tee capable SDRs such as the NESDR SMArTee XTR or the RTL-SDR key) is 4.5V-5V DC.
Alternatively, if you don't have a bias-capable SDR, you can use the external power supply options: The microUSB port, or the DC barrel connector. The recommended external power supply is 4.0V-5.5V DC.
Although there is a protection circuit on the VeGA for over-voltage conditions - and voltages up to 12V DC should still work and will not damage the device - it is not recommended for long-term use. Please note that damage resulting from overvoltage is not covered by the standard one year warranty.
Each VeGA module has an EMI shield to protect sensitive circuitry from external interference and is fully protected against electrostatic discharge (ESD).
The VeGA has an RF limiter on the RF input port to protect the amplifier from very high power input signals.
